I’m a composer and sound artist based in Oakland, California, working across contemporary classical, electronic, and film music. My pieces tend to explore models of time, using long sustained tones, just intonation, and time-based processing to trace memory, loss, and becoming.

My music has been performed internationally, including works for Quatuor Bozzini and the JACK Quartet, who recorded my string quartet Marfer. Recent releases include the albums Divinatory Poetics (2020) and Fabric of Light (2024), and the track Fruiting Bodies with the Paramorph Collective on Redshift Records.

I came to composition by an unusual route: nearly a decade as a self-taught guitarist in punk and post-hardcore bands before formal study and a Bachelor of Music in Composition and Technology from the University of Montana. I build my own instruments as well — most recently a two-octave Cristal Baschet.
